Aaron Szarowicz is the Economic Development Manager for the City of Douglasville. A Michigan native, Aaron graduated with his Master of Public Administration from Western Michigan University. Shortly thereafter, he came to Douglasville through the ICMA Local Government Management Fellowship Program in 2016.
 
Aaron also served the City of Douglasville as the Community Outreach Coordinator, representing the City in a wide variety of capacities. The relationships he created as the Community Outreach Coordinator have helped him make a seamless transition into his current role. In his sixth month as the Economic Development Manager, Aaron has focused on two redevelopment projects that will rejuvenate Downtown Douglasville. Additionally, he will work closely with the Community Development Director, Patrice Williams, on the implementation of Douglasville Tax Allocation District.
 
Aaron resides in Smyrna, GA with his wife, a third-grade special education teacher, and newborn daughter. An avid sneaker fan and food enthusiast, he loves exploring everything Atlanta has to offer with his family.
