Michael Price
Commissioner, District 4
Henry County Government

Michael Price a 5th generation native of Henry County and a 1988 graduate of Henry County High School. I am an ordained minister/pastor and preached my first public sermon December 27, 1992 at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Griffin, GA. I have been the senior pastor of 3 congregations, Pine Chapel Baptist Church in Zebulon, GA, 1994-1998; Bethlehem Baptist Church in Locust Grove, GA, 1998-2002; and currently Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Locust Grove, GA, 2004-present. Having just celebrated 20 years in October 2024, I am the longest serving pastor of the historic Shoal Creek Baptist Church. Shoal Creek is the oldest African American Baptist Church in Henry County established in 1866. "I am honored to serve in the same church that Martin Luther King Sr. served from 1930-1932."

I am a former employee of Henry County. I worked for Henry County D.O.T. for 12 years. I begin my career with Henry County as an Equipment Operator I. I was promoted to Equipment Operator II and finally as a Lead Equipment Operator. I was Lead Equipment Operator on both the paving crew and Districts 4 & 5. While with D.O.T. I was also certified in erosion control. "Although I was born and raised in Henry County, my time as an employee gave me the opportunity to really see the county."

I am also a self trained in construction. I am skilled in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. I have built structures, installed electrical systems and made major plumbing repairs. Some of my specialties are complete electrical installations, kitchen and bathroom remodels and most flooring application installs. Because I've had hands on in the building industry, I understand the processes and components of quality builds and construction projects. I believe that my skills and life experiences has positioned me to effectively fulfill the duties of serving on the Board of Commissioners. The reason I sought to serve on the was because of my love for serving others and thought I could serve others in a greater way.

I am a proud husband, father, and grandfather. I am an entrepreneur. I am the owner of Right Choice Repair & Remodeling LLC, Right Choice Photography LLC and the CEO of Samaritan Outreach Ministries Inc. which was started in 2009 through my church. We are committed to being the Matthew 25 church, feeding the homeless, clothing the naked, and visiting the sick and afflicted.
