All,
Please do not forget to register below. I wanted to update you on the partial agenda and topics for the program. Topics and speakers include:
Community Development and Permitting Overall: Challenges, Successes, Opportunities and Realities. How does this incorporate with Unified Development Ordinance Changes and Zoning Codes and the use of 3rd Party Supplemental Services?
Speakers:
Panel 2: Master Planning: How do we address the zoning code changes and overall development for not only an aging population, but young professionals, millennials and the struggles between the demands on elected officials versus the needs and wants of the citizenry? Join us for the an all-star panel of industry leaders and experts as we discuss the potential for low hanging code changes, stories of vision, collaboration and successes from around the region. TSW’s Caleb Racicot will speak on how communities can expand their housing mix by incorporating Missing Middle Housing, a “middle density” between single-family detached houses and large multifamily buildings. Once common, Missing Middle Housing fell out of favor after World War II, but has been rediscovered in recent decades as a planning tool that is still relevant to current needs in many communities.
