Amy Fischer

Chief Operating Officer 
Northside Hospital Forsyth

Amy Fischer currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Northside Hospital, where tenure began in 2013, previously holding the position of Director of Surgical Services. Under Amy Fischer's leadership, surgical volume increased dramatically from 8,600 cases in 2013 to over 20,000 in 2023, managing substantial operational responsibilities across 12 departments and a team of over 450 FTEs. Prior experience includes a role as Director of Surgical Services at Emory Healthcare from 2007 to 2013, contributing significantly to the launch of Emory Johns Creek Hospital and achieving over 7,000 surgeries in 2012. Additionally, Amy Fischer served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Nurse Corps from 2001 to 2007, providing exemplary care in pre-operative and post-anesthesia units. Amy Fischer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Mercer University.
