Shannan Sagnot serves as Henry County’s Cluster Lead for Administration & Constituent Services and is the Director of the Community Development Department. As Cluster Lead, she works directly with the departments of Public Information, Elections & Voter Registration, Human Resources, and Risk & Safety Management. In her role with Community Development she is responsible for the program and financial administration of grant funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Shannan began her career with Henry County Government in October 2012 as the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Coordinator and has worked in local government since 2005. Her prior work experience includes Fulton County Housing and Human Services Division, the City of Griffin Planning and Development Department and the River Valley Regional Commission, formerly known as the Lower Chattahoochee Regional Development Center.
Shannan earned a Master of Public Administration degree from Columbus State University in December 2004 and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Georgia Southwestern State University in May 2003. Shannan is originally from Columbus, Georgia, and currently lives in McDonough with her husband and children.
