A resident of the Peachtree Corners community for over 30 years, Mike Mason was elected the city's first Mayor in March 2012.

Mason co-founded the United Peachtree Corners Civic Association in 1993 and served as president of the organization many times through the years, helping address land use and community issues prior to the area's incorporation July 1, 2012.

Mason is currently the owner of Mason CFO Advisory.  Prior to that he was the Chief Financial Officer of Amerifleet, Inc. a privately held transportation and logistics company headquartered in Alpharetta. Previously, he served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Intelligent Switchgear Organization LLC, an Alpharetta-based joint venture of the Eaton Corporation & Caterpillar, Inc.

In 1994 Mason founded the Fox Hill Homeowners’ Association and was elected its first president, authoring its by-laws, and remains active in his neighborhood.

He has served on the Local School Advisory Committees at Berkeley Lake Elementary School, Simpson Elementary School, Pinckneyville Middle School and Norcross High School.

Mason was Cub Master for Cub Scout Pack 525 for two years and Den Leader for 3 years. He also served as Assistant Coach for Norcross Recreation League football for 5 years, and coached youth t-ball, soccer, and basketball teams in the Peachtree Corners community for several years.

He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Evansville, and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Southern Indiana.

Mason volunteered for the U.S. Navy in 1970 where he served as a Hospital Corpsman, primarily at Bethesda Naval Hospital. He was honorably discharged in 1974 with the rank of HM2.

A native of Sandersville, Georgia, Mason and his wife, Debbie, moved in 1985 to Peachtree Corners, where they raised their two sons.
