Lynette Howard has been a resident of Gwinnett for 30 years. For the last 19 years, Lynette has worked diligently to achieve a balance in development and aesthetics in Gwinnett County:

  • United Peachtree Corners Civic Association, 1998 – 2010
    • President; Vice-President, VP-Land Use; Board of Directors
  • Girl Scout Leader, 2002 – 2010
  • Gwinnett County Planning Advisory Committee, 2006 – 2009
    • Gwinnett County 2030 Unified Plan
  • Gwinnett County Planning Commission, 2007 – 2010
    • Negotiating between homeowners groups, developers, and attorneys in rezoning issues
  • Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau Board (Vice Chairman), 2011 – present
  • View Point Health Board Member, 2011 – present
  • Graduated from Leadership Gwinnett, 2013
  • Graduated from Regional Leadership Institute, 2013
  • Graduated from ACCG Certified County Commissioners, 2013
  • Completed leadership track for ACCG’s Advanced Training, 2014

Lynette received a BS in chemistry from Georgia State University. She worked for eight years as a research chemist for Puritan Chemical Company. Until her election in November 2010, she was a program developer and specialist at the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center. Lynette lives in Peachtree Corners with her husband, Pat, and their children, Nathalie and Alex.
