Forsyth Advisory Committee Meeting with Forsyth Commissioner Cindy Mills RSVP for April 13th
Commissioner Cindy Jones Mills was elected in 2012 to serve as the District 4 commissioner for the 2013-2016 term. She was re-elected in 2016 for the 2017-2020 term. She serves as vice chair of the Board of Commissioners, as the chair of the Social Services Committee, as vice chair of the Transportation Committee, and as a member of the Finance Committee. She also serves as chair for the General County Government Policy Committee of the Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG). In 2013, Jones Mills graduated from the Georgia Academy for Economic Development and in 2014 completed the Commissioners Training Program through ACCG. Commissioner Jones Mills was recognized in 2015 for her active membership on the ACCG Policy Council and was named the group’s 2015 Legislative Advocate of the Year.
Since becoming a commissioner, Jones Mills worked to create the Forsyth County Drug Summit and Forsyth County Drug Awareness Council. She also worked with the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce and the Georgia Department of Transportation to launch the Transportation Summit.
