Eric Johnson joined Forsyth County government as county manager in September 2017. Eric has more
than 30 years of experience in county government, previously serving as assistant county administrator
for a Florida county with a population of 1.4 million.
Eric serves on the board of directors for the Cumming-Forsyth Chamber of Commerce, and the board of
directors for the United Way of Forsyth County.
Eric holds a Bachelors degree in economics from the University of Florida, and a Master of Public
Administration degree from the University of South Florida.
He is an avid backpacker and can be found hiking up Sawnee Mountain when he can’t get to the
Appalachian Trail.
