Join the Council for Quality Growth's DeKalb Advisory Meeting featuring Mayor Joseph Geierman, City of Doraville.
Joseph Geierman has lived in Doraville since 2001 and previously served as a member of the City Council. He also served on the Doraville Active Living Initiative and the Doraville Comprehensive Plan Citizen Advisory Panel, and as a member of the Planning Commission. He also was president of NANA, the Northwoods Area Neighborhood Association.
Geierman has an undergraduate degree in sociology from the University of California at Santa Cruz and a master's degree in building construction and facility management from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Since 2009, he has worked at the law firm Troutman Pepper, where he is director of real estate and facilities. A native of Southern California, he lives with his husband, B.J. Abbott, and their dog, Belle.
