Join the Council for Quality Growth's Emerging Leaders Initiative (ELI) for a Networking Beer/Wine/Appetizer Reception at Synovus on the Rooftop with Rob Garcia, Division CEO of Synovus North Georgia Division.

The reception will be followed by an optional Braves game at SunTrust Park in the Home Run Porch section of the stadium.

More about Rob Garcia:
Rob Garcia began his career in the banking industry in 1986. He has extensive commercial banking experience with a concentration in commercial real estate and commercial and industrial lending. Rob joined Bank of North Georgia in 2006 through its merger with Riverside Bank where he served as Executive Vice President and Senior Lending Officer. As a Regional Market President with Bank of North Georgia, Rob was responsible for growing deposits and loans in the Cobb and Buckhead region and overseeing a Commercial Banking division which included fifteen lenders as well as the operations of the six branches. In 2010, he was charged with leading a team of Commercial Real Estate bankers in growing and managing the division's extensive commercial real estate portfolio. In January 2011, he was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer. In December 2013, he was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of North Georgia.  In 2016, Rob was named the Division CEO of the North Georgia Division which included Bank of North Georgia, Citizens First Bank, Cohutta Bank, and Georgia Bank & Trust.  In 2018, Synovus is completing the Single Brand initiative and all of these banks now operate as Synovus. 
 
Rob is very active in the local community. He served two consecutive terms as Chairman of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce in 2010 and 2011, playing an instrumental role in the formation of the Cobb Competitive EDGE (Economic Development for a Growing Economy). His leadership at the Chamber resulted in significant financial gains for Cobb County and was instrumental in opening economic doors to allow numerous large corporate relocations.  Rob is still active today in serving on the Cobb Chamber Board and as 2016 Chair of Cobb Competitive EDGE.
 
He also serves as a board member of the Atlanta Regional Commission (District 13), Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Council for Quality Growth, WellStar Foundation Board, Fellowship of Christian Athletes Atlanta, and Action Ministries.
 
In 2015, the Cobb Chamber of Commerce presented Rob with the Mack Henderson Public Service Award. This award recognizes outstanding commitment and dedication to building a better quality of life for citizens of Cobb Country.
 
A native of Eufaula, Alabama, he is a graduate of Auburn University.
