Join the Council for Quality Growth's Cobb Advisory Committee Meeting featuring Daniel Cummings, Economic Development Manager for City of Marietta.
Daniel Cummings serves as the Economic Development Manager for the City of Marietta, a position he has held since early 2017. In this capacity, he is responsible for the City’s business recruitment, expansion and retention efforts, directs strategic planning initiatives, and manages the Franklin Gateway redevelopment project.
Before assuming his current role, Daniel served as Marietta’s Planning and Development Specialist, working on strategic planning and transportation projects. Prior to joining the City, Daniel spent several years working for the Middle Georgia Regional Commission. There, he provided comprehensive services to Middle Georgia’s local governments in the areas of economic development, community development, planning and personnel administration, and served as Project Manager for the Central Georgia Joint Development Authority, leading its real estate acquisition efforts.
Daniel holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Georgia’s School of Public and International Affairs. He lives in Marietta with his wife, Christina, and daughter, Lucy.
