Commissioner Monique Sheffield has been a District 4 resident for over 22 years and represents south  and southwest Cobb.  Her vision for the nearly 200,000 residents in District 4 is to improve their quality of life by providing a strong and solid foundation to help build families and communities, and by increasing green space, parks, and trails in the district, including the Chattahoochee Riverland Trail.

During her first year in office, she served as Vice-Chair of the Cobb County Board of Commissioners and was selected from a competitive pool of nationwide county commissioners to serve on the National Association of Counties (NACO) Community, Economic and Workforce Development Steering Committee. During her second year, she was selected to serve on NACO’s Economic Mobility Leadership Network and is currently a participant in the Cobb Chamber of Commerce’s, Leadership Cobb 2022-2023 leadership training class.

Prior to becoming Cobb County’s District 4 Commissioner, Ms. Sheffield served on Cobb’s Board of Zoning Appeals and has held numerous leadership roles within her community, including as HOA President.   By profession, Commissioner Sheffield is a real estate broker and co-owner of Sheffield Realty Group, Inc., a boutique real estate brokerage. She currently resides in Mableton with her husband Eric.
